What is going on...

God morning readers, Hope your summer was nice - me and my family had a really nice one. Spending a lot of time with family and friends :) I liked it al lot. So what happens with my research.... I handed in my Research Proposal before the summer holidays and got it accepted a week later. Great, so no I can start do my research for real?! I think many of the things we do in the academic world is a bit silly and it feels like we are playing charades with wigs and people just love the hierarchy which I find a bit retrograde (is that the right word?) and I am sure of that the hierarchy that so many which to uphold consumes a lot of the creativity people here have. Other days I found the academic world very creative and not that hierarchic :) But, I was quite sure that after the summer I should apply for another job. I felt completely drained and compelled to do as everyone else in order to fit in. But I refuse to just "fit in" - so I will stay and continue my maladjustment :) I'm a bit dramatic, for you who knows me you now me and for you who doesn’t know me - I'm a bit dramatic. What's next then. I do a lot of reading, I will be able to work abductive - which I prefer but had to fight about, a bit, before it was accepted - I have three questions for my Licentiate thesis that I like to find answers to. The first question is deductive in its nature while the other two ones are not. So an abductive approach suits my research very well - at least that is my opinion. After this intense reading period I ´will finish my interview guide and I will start my interview period - I'm interviewing 14 companies (7 dyads), 7 Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and 7 transport buyers. I'm looking forward to this. it will be fun. In November and December I have a lot of teaching as well so it will be a busy autumn. Have a nice day!
